Arc Light Foundations purchase and access terms — updated 26 October 2026.

1. Definitions and Interpretation

In these terms, “we”, “us” and “the Institute” mean IKIGAISYSTEM LIMITED, trading as HUF Institute, with the company number and registered office stated above. “Foundations” means Arc Light Foundations, the independently purchased 12-unit programme described in clause 12. “Account” means your personal LearnWorlds learner account. “Website” means huf.learnworlds.com. “Content” includes course text, video, audio, activities and resources. LearnWorlds provides the hosted learning platform; it is not our proprietary platform. Payment details are submitted through the payment provider; do not send card or bank details to our support mailbox.

2. Age Restrictions

Arc Light Foundations is designed for English-reading adults aged 18 and over. There is no academic, physical, or credential prerequisite. Choose practice suited to your starting point and circumstances.

3. Business Customers

These Terms and Conditions also apply to customers procuring Services in the course of business.

4. Intellectual Property

4.1 Course and website materials belong to the Institute or their respective rights holders and are protected by applicable intellectual property law.

4.2 Your purchase gives you personal, non-transferable access for your own learning for the access period in clause 19. You may use resources expressly offered for download for that purpose. Do not resell, redistribute, publicly share or give others access to paid materials without permission. Statutory copyright exceptions remain available.

5. Third Party Intellectual Property

  • 5.1 Third-party materials remain the property of their respective rights holders. Any expressly stated licence accompanying a resource applies to that resource.
5.2 Access to the course does not transfer ownership or grant permission to redistribute third-party materials. Clause 6 and any mandatory legal exceptions remain unaffected.

6. Fair Use of Intellectual Property

Material from the Website may be re-used without written permission where any of the exceptions detailed in Chapter III of the Copyright Designs and Patents Act 1988 apply.

7. Links to Other Websites

External links may lead to independently operated websites with their own terms and privacy notices. A link does not by itself imply endorsement. We do not control subsequent changes to those sites. This does not exclude any responsibility or remedy that applicable law requires us to retain.

8. Links to this Website

You may link to public pages fairly and lawfully without implying endorsement, association or ownership. Do not bypass access controls or share paid course resources. For linking enquiries contact communications@huf.institute.

9. Use of Communications Facilities

  • 9.1 Use any available communication or submission facility respectfully and lawfully. Restrictions for serious breaches follow clause 11; a minor issue does not automatically forfeit paid access.
9.1.1 You must not use obscene or vulgar language;
9.1.2 You must not submit Content that is unlawful or otherwise objectionable. This includes, but is not limited to, Content that is abusive, threatening, harassing, defamatory, ageist, sexist or racist;
9.1.3 You must not submit Content that is intended to promote or incite violence;
9.1.4 It is advised that submissions are made using the English language as We may be unable to respond to enquiries submitted in any other languages;
9.1.5 The means by which you identify yourself must not violate these Terms and Conditions or any applicable laws;
9.1.6 You must not impersonate other people, particularly employees and representatives of IKIGAISYSTEM LIMITED or Our affiliates; and
9.1.7 You must not use Our System for unauthorised mass-communication such as "spam" or "junk mail".
9.2 Submit only information needed for the activity or enquiry. Do not include other people’s private information. Do not submit special-category personal data through course forms or logbooks, including health information or information about racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade-union membership, genetic or identifying biometric data, sex life or sexual orientation. LearnWorlds does not permit this data in the service; keep reflections practical and non-sensitive.

9.3 You retain ownership of your original submissions. We use them only as needed to operate the course, handle your request and improve the service as described in the privacy notice. These terms do not grant a blanket right to republish your reflections or require a waiver of moral rights.

9.4 Account-linked logbooks and feedback are not anonymous. Access, retention and permitted uses are explained in the privacy notice.

10. Accounts

  • 10.1 A personal learner account is required for course access. Provide the information necessary to create and maintain that account, and use only a payment method you are entitled to use. Do not send payment-card information through course forms or email.
  • 10.1.1 all information you submit is accurate and truthful;
  • 10.1.2 you have permission to submit Payment Information where permission may be required; and
  • 10.1.3 you will keep this information accurate and up-to-date. Your creation of an Account is further affirmation of your representation and warranty.
  • 10.2 Keep your sign-in details private, use a secure password and sign out on shared devices. Do not share or sell your account.
10.3 Report suspected unauthorised use promptly to communications@huf.institute. We will investigate and take proportionate steps to secure the account. Reporting does not remove statutory rights concerning unauthorised payments or create a monthly charge.

10.4 Account names and use must comply with clause 9; any restriction is governed by clause 11.

11. Termination and Cancellation of Accounts

11.1 Where there is a serious breach, fraud or an immediate safety or security concern, we may restrict access to the extent reasonably necessary. We will explain the reason and, where appropriate, provide an opportunity to resolve the issue. Immediate action may be needed to protect people or the platform. You may contact us to dispute a restriction.

11.2 Closing an account does not remove any applicable cancellation, refund or consumer rights. The access policy in clause 19 applies to purchased Foundations content.

12. Services, Pricing and Availability

12.1 Arc Light Foundations is a standalone 12-week online programme of 12 units for independent study, with guided instruction, video, interactive activities, field practice and logbook/reflection. It includes no individual coaching, live teaching or accredited qualification. Any certificate is an ordinary certificate of completion under the stated completion requirements.

12.2 One-time customer totals are GBP129 standard or GBP99 founding where that offer is displayed, inclusive of applicable tax where due. Purchase uses native LearnWorlds checkout with connected Stripe and is charged in GBP. No fixed USD or EUR price is offered. There is no subscription, instalment plan or compulsory seasonal membership. The GBP total is shown at checkout before you order. Your bank may apply currency conversion or other fees. Accepted purchase prices will not increase retrospectively.

12.3 Where the founding offer is displayed, it ends at 23:59 UK time (Europe/London) on the later of 31 January 2027 or one calendar month after the public launch of Arc Light Foundations. The offer states its closing date before purchase. The founding price applies only when shown in the offer and confirmed at checkout.

12.4 Optional later seasons or membership require a separate purchase and consent. Foundations never converts automatically into membership. Choosing not to buy, or ending, those separate products does not remove independently purchased Foundations access.

13. Orders and Provision of Services

13.1 You can review the programme, price, currency and terms and correct order information before submitting an order. Your order is an offer to purchase. A contract forms when we accept it by order-confirmation email. A payment notification alone is not a promise of enrolment.

13.2 Before supply starts we will provide confirmation in a form you can retain, including:
  • 13.2.1 The programme description, accepted currency and tax-inclusive total, seller and contact details, and these terms.
  • 13.2.2 The enrolment-relative release schedule and access policy.
  • 13.2.3 The 14-day cancellation and full-refund policy, including continued cancellation rights after access, and the optional cancellation form.
  • 13.2.4 Secure sign-in/access instructions. We will not email your password.
13.3 If an order is not accepted, any payment taken for that order will be returned in accordance with applicable law.

13.4 Foundations is paid for once at the price confirmed at checkout. There is no monthly billing cycle, setup fee, automatic renewal or automatic conversion to seasonal membership.

13.5 Following successful payment and accepted enrolment through the normal LearnWorlds journey, Week 1 opens on enrolment day 0. Weeks 2–12 open every seven days, on days 7, 14, 21, 28, 35, 42, 49, 56, 63, 70 and 77. These are release dates, not punitive weekly completion deadlines.

13.6 We will provide the course with reasonable skill and care and in accordance with its description and applicable digital-content standards. Report incorrect entitlement, release dates or content to communications@huf.institute with your order reference; do not send card details.

13.7 Clause 14 preserves the 14-day cancellation right even after course access. We do not require you to waive that right to begin learning.

13.8 For course-access and administrative support, contact communications@huf.institute. Support does not include personal coaching, live teaching or emergency assistance. We do not promise continuous availability or a fixed response time in these terms.

14. Cancellation of Orders and Services

14.1 You may cancel your Arc Light Foundations purchase without giving a reason within 14 days after the day the contract is made and receive a full refund, even if you have already accessed or used the course. Access does not remove this right. Send a clear cancellation statement to communications@huf.institute or the registered office above before the deadline. You may use the form below but do not have to. Any longer cancellation period or other mandatory consumer protection that applies remains available.
  • 14.2 Course access follows the normal LearnWorlds purchase and enrolment journey. We honour the cancellation policy in clause 14.1 even after access begins and do not rely on an early-supply acknowledgement to remove it. There is no separate cancellation-rights waiver or waiting period imposed by this policy.
  • 14.2.1 If you cancel within the period in clause 14.1, we refund the full amount paid for the cancelled Foundations purchase. We make no deduction for course access or use during that period.
14.2.2 We will reimburse you without undue delay and no later than 14 days after being informed of your cancellation, using the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise and without a reimbursement fee. Any shorter mandatory deadline remains applicable.
  • 14.3 The policy above does not limit your statutory rights if content is faulty, misdescribed or not supplied. Those rights remain available after the 14-day cancellation period where applicable. No minimum monthly contract or subscription is created. Contact us so that we can consider the appropriate remedy.
14.4 Cancellation form (complete and return only if you wish to cancel): To IKIGAISYSTEM LIMITED, trading as HUF Institute, Woodside Lodge, Glasshouse Lane, Kenilworth, Warwickshire, United Kingdom, CV8 2AL; communications@huf.institute. I/We give notice that I/We cancel my/our contract for Arc Light Foundations. Ordered on: ____. Name(s): ____. Address: ____. Order reference (if available): ____. Date: ____. Signature(s), only if sent on paper: ____. Delete wording that does not apply.

15. Privacy

Our privacy notice explains how personal information is handled. It is information about processing, not blanket consent or a waiver of data rights. Read the Privacy notice before providing information or purchasing.

16. How We Use Your Personal Information (Data Protection)

  • 16.1 We handle personal information under applicable data-protection law, including the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018 as amended. The privacy notice explains purposes, lawful bases, recipients, retention and your rights; accepting these purchase terms is not blanket consent to personal-data processing.
16.2 The following purposes are subject to that notice:
  • 16.2.1 Provide Our Services to you;
  • 16.2.2 Process your payment for the Services; and
  • 16.2.3 Keep your details as a customer contact and send essential account, payment, access and course-service notices. Where applicable law permits customer soft opt-in, we may also email you about our own similar HUF Institute courses and services where we collected your details directly during a purchase or purchase enquiry, offered a clear opportunity to opt out at collection, and you did not opt out. Every marketing email will include an unsubscribe link. Where this customer soft opt-in does not apply, we will obtain the marketing permission required by applicable law. Buying Foundations does not give blanket permission for unrelated or third-party marketing.
  • 16.3 We use relevant service providers to host the course, handle payments and administer enquiries and records, as explained in the privacy notice. We do not offer purchase credit under these terms or introduce credit-reference checks.
16.4 Sharing must have an applicable lawful basis and safeguards. It is not automatically based on consent; these terms do not authorise unrelated third-party marketing.

17. Disclaimers

  • 17.1 Foundations supports independent learning and practice. Outcomes depend on your circumstances and participation; no specific personal, professional or physical result is guaranteed. This does not reduce the requirement that supplied content meets its description and applicable consumer standards.
17.2 Exercises are educational and are not medical treatment, individual health advice, live supervision or a substitute for qualified professional advice. Choose a suitable space and level of practice, follow safety instructions, and stop an activity that causes pain, dizziness or distress. Seek appropriate qualified advice if unsure whether an activity is suitable. You may adapt or skip an exercise rather than push beyond your circumstances.

17.3 Access requires an internet connection, an email address and a device/browser capable of playing the course media and using online forms. No compatibility with every device or offline access is promised. Ask us about essential accessibility or technical requirements before purchasing; specific compatibility information must be provided with the offer.

17.4 Keep your device and browser updated and protect your sign-in details. This does not transfer our own security obligations to you.

18. Changes to the Facilities and these Terms and Conditions

We may update the course to correct errors, maintain security or improve delivery, but will not use this wording to remove the essential substance of an existing purchase. Changes to future offers or terms do not retrospectively remove rights under an existing purchase. Material changes affecting purchased access will be explained, with any applicable consumer rights and remedies preserved.

19. Availability of the Website

19.1 Your purchased Arc Light Foundations content has no fixed expiry while the Institute continues to operate and support the course. This is not an unconditional lifetime guarantee. The 12-week release schedule is not a deadline to finish. Choosing not to buy, or ending, a separate seasonal membership does not by itself revoke your purchased Foundations access.

19.2 Online access may be interrupted by maintenance or faults. We will take reasonable steps to restore affected access and communicate material disruption. If we propose to stop supporting Foundations or close the school, we will explain the effect on access, give reasonable advance notice where practicable and address any applicable rights or remedies. This qualification does not remove your statutory rights.

20. Limitation of Liability

20.1 We remain responsible for losses for which applicable law makes us responsible, including breach of contract and failure to use reasonable care and skill. These terms do not impose a blanket exclusion for outages, inaccurate content or digital-content faults.

20.2 Nothing excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Mandatory consumer rights and remedies remain unaffected.

20.3 The programme is for personal learning; it does not promise business income or a particular result. No monetary liability cap is introduced by these terms.

20.4 If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions apply so far as lawful; this does not permit us to rewrite the purchase to your disadvantage.

21. No Waiver

In the event that any party to these Terms and Conditions fails to exercise any right or remedy contained herein, this shall not be construed as a waiver of that right or remedy.

22. Previous Terms and Conditions

The terms supplied with an accepted order govern that purchase, subject to applicable law. A later version will not retrospectively remove the customer’s existing rights.

23. Third Party Rights

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall confer any rights upon any third party. The agreement created by these Terms and Conditions is between you and IKIGAISYSTEM LIMITED.

24. Communications

24.1 Send enquiries, cancellation requests and formal notices to communications@huf.institute, or write to the registered office above. A statutory cancellation notice sent before the cancellation deadline is not made late because it is read on a later working day. Keep a copy or other evidence of sending.

24.2 Marketing communications are governed by clause 16.2.3. You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us. Essential account, payment, access and course-service notices are separate from marketing.

25. Law and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, subject to mandatory protections that apply to you as a consumer. Nothing here deprives you of mandatory rights under the law of your country of habitual residence or of any right to bring proceedings in a competent local court. No exclusive foreign-court requirement is imposed.
